    Hi all,

Just received XPS 15 - i7, 6gb, 1080p, 1gb graphics. It does not get heated much just a bit warm. I have not yet loaded any games though. Do you suggest buying cooling pad for it? If yes, which are ones I should choose from?

    Thanks for listening

If you don't want to spend a fortune, the NotePal U2/U3 are the best values out there.

my girlfriend's macbook pro from 2008 or so heats up so much, she needs to dissapate that heat. She uses a cooler, doesn't set the laptop down on a bed while working, etc. With my XPS 15 R2, its always cool. The only heat comes out of the exhaust. A cooler is supposed to cool the casing mostly, so in my opinion it is a waste for the XPS 15 (R2 at least from experience)

This is just my opinion. I have a 6 cell that doesn't even raise the back and seem to do fine on temps.
