    hi ,

    what is the cost for replacing geforce 8600mgt , if it fails after warranty period??? does i have to pay for motherboard also or gpu only ????

    The GPU is soldered to the motherboard. You would have to buy a whole motherboard and replace the whole board.
    You can get boards on ebay for about 100-150 bucks, so it's not too costly.

    its about $150 ebay, or you could ask dell to sell the part to you(more expensive, but definitely wont crap out)....

    or you could ebay the broken laptop and buy a better one now for cheape :)

    can you really sell broken parts (assuming you say its broken)? is it just for people who want to get parts (ones that aren't broken..example: everything besides gpu)?
