    :) ? :) Hello everybody,,,,,

I'm looking for someone opinion on this,,,

I'm going to buy dell 1530 tom or after depend on the reply.

The total ammount including tax came up to 1200$. I can afford 100$ more to upgrade eaither processor or graphic card...

I can upgrade the processor to Intel C2D T8300 (2.4GHz/800MHz FSB, 3M L2 Cache) by adding extra 100 bucks or I can upgrade the graphic card to 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT by adding same ammount.

The Quetion is!!! is it worth it to add 100$ for processor or graphic card ???

    Thank you

    depends on wat u'r doing...

personally, i'd go with the graphics card (since its non-user upgradable)... and see if i can afford to get a T8300 processor to swap in the near future (now T8300 is about US$250.... shoudl see a gradual drop until Nehalem gets released....

Go with a refurb, you can get a 2.4Ghz CPU 4Gb Ram and 8600 GT 256 for around your price range. Not sure if you want one that is refurbished, but its always a thought :)

OR drop your ram down and upgrade both CPU and video card, and upgrade ram in a month or so...4Gb of ram isn't that expensive

Here is the best reason to go graphics card besides being non upgradeable: Integrated graphics slow your CPU way down because they have to share the memory bus. CPU is already starved with intel's basterdized low L2 cache core2duos. CPU just sits ideling by untill it's turn to access memory and at 667 Mhz for the memory its not breaking any speed record either
