So my order has been canceled due fraud verification and I need to call them to verify my card because i'm using an international card. They gave me this number 1877-819-3355, is it from the us or not? And one more thing do they charge my credit card when i placed the order?

They do not charge your card until the order ships and that is the way it is with almost all companies

Thanks I asked this because I read this somewhere on this site

""If you use an international credit card, then you have to call in to Dell's Credit Card/Fraud Services and confirm information within 2 hours.

If you do not do this, guess what happens?

Your order will be canceled and your funds will be held for up to 15 business days. In some cases (like mine), if you're limited on funds and can't afford to get re-charged while waiting for the initial refund, they can re-instate the order.""

They sometimes put a hold on your card though for the amount. The actual amount isn't charged until they invoice you, usually just a day or so before shipping, but the hold is there so they know they will get their money and aren't being ripped off.

That means you can't use the money right?

Correct. But it doesn't show up on your bill to be paid until after they charge it so it is almost like you lose some credit limit for x days (not actually what happens of course).

Last two times I ordered recently, they put a 3-5 day hold on my card to make sure the money was there. They then took it off and charged my card once the order shipped, which was about 2-3 weeks later.

zjacobss - correct. You've agreed to pay them so they are claiming their money before anyone else can for their financial security concerns. You're paying for a custom product and they have a decent return policy considering. It seems fair to me.

I'll try to order the laptop from bestbuy, they have the same config i need. I thought ordering my laptop from dell would go smooth but seems like everyone outside the US is a fraud to them XD

1-877-819-3355 is a Dell Number. The 1 is the country code. 877 is the area code, but in the US, 877 is used for toll-free numbers (same as 800 or 866), and 819-3355 is the 7 digit phone number.

    Thanks.

I've also been looking for other places that sell the xps 15, best buy had one but they don't ship to freight forwarders. :(
What other places are there that sell this laptop?

Best Buy, Amazon.com, and maybe Newegg.com are the only places that I can think of that would sell a XPS 15, but when you order from those sites, you can't customize the build of your laptop.

    Newegg.com doesn't have 1080p

I found one at amazon with good specs and 1080p but it is a little bit more expensive than ordering from dell, its my only choice for now i think.
