    dell xps 1330 keeps freezing

    when i'm sitting on the couch using my laptop after some time and than i put it down on the couch and go and do something and come back my laptop freezes all the time. I have to restart it in order to use it again. what is the problem? I have a 4 year warranty including accidental damage and i purchased it in july of 08. what should i do?

    check if the laptop's overheating (HWMonitor to see temps)

    backup, then reinstall

    if problem persists, then its a problem w/ the hardware, and time to call dell

    im using the latest bios 15. how would backing up and reinstalling help the problem?

    36 core 1
    61 geforce 8400
    36 hitachi hard drive

    contact Dell about it through their website. They might be able to replace a couple components for you. I've had freezing/crashing before in the past and they replaced my motherboard a couple times.
