I have a Dell XPS 15 (L502X) and it came pre-installed with microsoft office starter 2010: reduced functionality Word and Excel w/ads. No Powerpoint or outlook.

Does anyone know if I can uninstall it and then install a microsoft office university edition 2010 instead? For some strange reason, I am under the impression that i can't.

Yes, just uninstall it in 'uninstall or change a program' and install your version after that.

It is best to uninstall the older version to avoid mix-up between Starter and your version.
