Quick question, I'm considering picking up a friend's xps m1210, for less then half the price its going on ebay hehe :p , but it's got a 80GB harddrive. I have a spare 250gb lying around from a previous HP laptop, was wondering if I could swap the that in there?

Sure no problem if it is SATA. The M1210 is a nice laptop.

Awesome... and lastly, is it possible to switch out the wwan card to lets say an Intel a/b/g/n? I'm not sure exactly what it's got but I think it was either a Dell or Intel a/g card that it came with. Would it be any problem if it was a dell and I switched it out to an Intel wwan? Thanks.

It should have a spot for the third antenna, I can't remember for sure though.

There are not much differences in performances. Dell's wwan card is better than Intel's when you want to try hackintosh.
