    I saw someone got a good deal on an xps 1730 with the 8800 at the dell outlet .How often do you see a xps 1730 with a 8800 go up for sale at the dell outlets ?

    The 8800M SLI rigs only started shipping around the middle of Feb... so only 6 weeks since they have been available. I did get one, posted specs here, for $2400 w/ 2 year warranty: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=234500

    I have been watching the M1730 section of outlet *alot* since Feb, and I have only seen a couple in the last few weeks, and they only lasted a couple of minutes before disappearing :). And most of those were much higher in price... since the 8800SLI models typically go for around $4K new(much higher if they have things like SSD HDDs added).

    FYI, ever since they started the 15% off for XPS refurbs at the Outlet (last Wed or so?), they have pretty much been completely out of stock on M1730's. I see a big group dumped every now and then... but they don't last long. You will have to keep constant vigil to get one, and to get one with the specs you want... luck must be on your side :).

    They just dumped about 15 systems, only one that I *think* had 8800M's, disappearred before I could be sure... it was around $3K.

    .... Any they are all gone. There were 14 there for about 15 minutes, now there are none :).
