Will a monitor off of an e1705 fit a newer m1730? I'm planning on salvaging an old e1705 and building a new m1730 in the process, and I understand a bezel and hinges are required for the m1730. Thanks

The actual panel from the E1705 should work, but yes, you will need the new bezel and hinges, etc, etc.

Another question, I see that the m1730 uses a different cable that goes from the monitor to the video card, this cable contains the wiring for the webcam up top. On the dell website it appeared that the m1730 cable also provided power, through a different connector, to the monitor? The photos I've found online of the backs of the lcd panels seem to have the same hook up location , just different styles of cables. I also noticed that the m1730 did not have the 1440x900 matte display and only the 1900x1200 display. Will it still recognize the 1440x900 display? I know all this is a shot in the dark but thought i'd ask.
