I have used an eSata express card and it works fine in terms of transfer speeds etc.

The main problem for me is that my expresscard slot seems kind of 'loose'. I am not sure if it is the same for everyone else, (although I have seen a video on youtube of a guy with the same problem) but mine is definitely a problem, any express card I have tried can slide out pretty easily. Even the slot-filler was the same, I had to 'bulk' it up with some superglue to make the tabs/notches bigger.

The remote seems to snap in perfectly fine in my m1530, and doesn't seem loose at all. Maybe the express card would fit fine too. Don't really want to waste $40 on it if it doesn't, though.

I've never had a problem with a 34 Gigabit expresscard, I have considered getting a wing to stop side to side movement but can't justify £1.50 for a lump of plastic off ebay.
