    im thinking about buying a blu ray driver for the studio xps from ebay and replacing it with the one i have now. would that be an easy thing to do?

    I did this with my SXPS 1640 it works great just follow the guid that BatBoy posted and I got the Sony Optiarc DVDRWBD BC-5600S fom Ebay and use the firmware updates posted on dell drver site
