sooo... for no reason, a few daysago my expresscard slot is not fuctioning properly any more. There is no click-clack sound when I put my remote in it.
The remote goes all the way in and after that you need something very thin to get it out.
I dont know why this happend because I dont play a lot with my remote...
Luckly I dot use expresscard slot but you never know. Anyway it seams very hard to reach the inside to check it out. and my question is:
do I need to take apart the whole laptop to get to it? (remove keyboard etc.)

the spring loaded mechanism came off. It's an easy fix if the spring is still present, if not you'll have to call dell support to replace it.
You'll have to remove the motherboard because the expresscard is screwed onto it. I had an on-site technician come by replace it at first. We both discovered the spring just came loose and was easily fixed by just pulling it back on. I still got a brand new slot for my troubles though.
