I have a m1330 laptop with a 8400gs graphic card. I want to know if the card can share the memory, because I have 3 gb of ram. If it can, I can use games that minimum requirements are 256 mb and take the other 128mb from the ram. If it can, will be best to later upgrade to 4 gb of ram?

no... the 128MB ram on the graphics card allows the GPU to quickly swap textures in and out

the RAM on your 3GB ram chip isn't that fast... it will improve the game play a little, but you can't expect a lot of improvement

you can install games that have 256MB min. requirement.... the games should run, but it'll be pretty laggy, and you probably will need to set all graphics options to low and play at 800x600

oh, ok. by now still a lot of game have the minimum in 128 mb. High end games wants a lot. Still i uses the xbox 360 to high end. The question was because I saw in internet that graphic card uses memory from the ram. Also I bought HAWX for the PC, In my computer the game runs very well in high textures, high resolution I think that is 1200x800 or near I dont remember. Only i use it on directx 9 and have some realistic improvement off. I check it with all on and all high graphic and directx 10 with all stuff and the computer still run the game but becomes laggy in turns. I dont see a lot of differences between the high end graphics and the setup that I use and I see that if I can do that with the 128 mb card why not buy a 256mb graphic card game and use it in low settings. Im thinking to bought fallout 3. My high requirements games are: HAWX (Med-high settings no lag), Raimbow six Las vegas (med-low settings lag very little), Halo 2 (med-low settings, resolution in 800x600 no lag), WOW ( med settings no lag) currently not use the game. All my other games in high settings.

My brother install HAWX in his computer (desktop) 1.8 ghz, 512 mb, 128mb graphic card nvidia 6??? and can use it in low settings and windowed. Still can play lan but the loading is like never end but still can use the game.

Im thinking to buy fallout 3 or far cry 2 and other gams but my computer meets the others games requirements.
