Just lean forward and move your lips.

I couldn't resist. What do you want to know exactly? There are actually two mics. One on either side of the camera. As far as using them it would depend on what software you are trying to use them with I guess.

You should be able to just speak normally. You don't have to lean into the thing or anything. Programs like Live Messenger have a microphone calibration as part of their mic setup.

haha nice. Also you should be able to go into the options and change the sounds levels or amplification if it is too quiet or loud. :)

    Hope this helps!

There will be individual options for each program, but to do it in general go into your Audio Manager. For me it is Realtek Audio Manager program that came with my computer...

Just talk normally.. no need to lean forward or anything.. at least, I don't.. and the mic seems to be pretty good in XPS M1530.. and guess you can adjust the sound options or whatever either in the voice chat program you are using or you can go to hardware & sound > sound > you'll see the devices there and right click > properties and check it out... play around till you feel comfortable.. Good luck.
