does it mean they have all the parts to build it already and that the delays for getting parts are over?

Sounds to me like they're putting your laptop together.

    Hi!Hi!

Production means it's placed in the ordering line, and will be put together!

Once done, it will still have to go thru the imaging/software stage, and final testing...Then, it will be *boxed* and on it's way to being shipped to you!

So, hopefully you won't have any production problems, and will be *good to go* :)

    Hope that helps!

    Cin ;) :)

Don't expect the email notification thing to work when it actually ships, however. I had my computer be "in production" for a week, and had I not been checking it anally I wouldn't have known when it was coming. I had a Dell supervisor tell me he would personally call me the day it was going out, plus the automated email message, PLUS the email from the guy taking care of my case #. Package showed up in the morning and I had to sign for it, and I was excited. Good luck! :)
