i downloaded the file then installed it, it asked me if i wanted to replace the existing folder, so im assuming i had my driver up to date already. i installed it anyway.

    the problem still persist

my connection goes mostly at 11mbps and sometimes higher but not always and always goes back down to 11 mbps

for now im using my wired connection because it stays at a solid 100 mbps.

i dont' know why my wireless goes all the way down to 11 mbps?!

Honestly, unless you have super fast cable, or fiber optics, i dont think you have a connection over 11 mbps anyway, so 11mbps is just fine. If you have a connection thats 3mbps, no matter if ur taskbar says 54 mbps, or 11 mbps, ur connection to the internet is still limited at 3. If you have higher speeds, then u might have to worry.

I have a dsl broadband connection. I play this game that shows my latency, and when I'm connected wirelessly, it goes from 300 up to 800 ms.

I just connected my wired connection to my laptop and it stays at 250 ms.

My router is D-link WBR 1310

I could have sworn I've read about this elsewhere on this site or some other site.

sounds like maybe the router is set to connect by auto for a,b,g, or n and it may have not been "seeing" that card as n, what kind of router is it? if possible try to upgrade the firmware of the router or manually set it up from within the router's own setup page to lock in the settings....or the best to do is see if the router will take tomato or dd-wrt firmware. those are rock solid on almost all compatible routers. i know many linksys have issues until dd-wrt is installed then they are rock solid
