i heard that magnets can damage computer hardware. presumably they'd have to be strong magnets.

As far as I know, Magnets can damage computer displays temporarily, but, they can damage Hard Drives permanently, Hard Drives use magnetic charges to store their data in the disc, and a different magnetic field can misplace or destroy that data completely, rendering it unusable.

No, it doesn’t!!! When I first received my 1530 & the sleeve ~ I asked the same thing.
The magnets are not powerful enough!! Also, when I put my 1530 in the sleeve it does not face the *magnets*

I actually almost cut the magnets out as I was *worried* at first...I'm glad I didn't

Actually, when I wrote my last post in this thread I was sleepy and I did not read the "Complimentary Case" word in the thread's title, sorry if there was any misunderstanding, Cin' is right on that the magnet is not strong enough to cause any damage to the internal components of the laptop.
is it possible to magnet in the complimentary case could harm the hardware?
