I have bought a Cooler Master Notepal Infinite for my XPS m1530. I must say Im impressed and recommend to others :)

Its ideal for use with laptop on my knee.

Temps have dropped a little, but one thing I have noticed is that it isn't constantly going through its cycle of gpu rising to 65 - fan kicking in until its down to 52,53 - stopping - again build back up over a period of 3 or 4 mins and repeating over and over again. Now whilst doing normal activities its taking much longer for the gpu temp to rise, around 12 - 15 mins (ambient temp 22ish)

Im going to monitor and log my system temps for cod4 play and surfing etc with and without the Notepal using Everest over the next few days so I get a proper idea of what kind of difference its really making, but on the whole, so far Im impressed. :thumbsup

Yes, I'd love to hear more, too!
I'm just about to pull the trigger on getting this one over the Zalman or any other, not just for cost but because I really need to be able to use a cooler for my lap or on the bed - I have no desk! lol!!
So, yes, please, your thoughts on the Notepal Infinite! Did you get it from the expansys-usa website?

so how is it now? does it cool the xps m1530 well? I'm thinking of getting it but doesn't it intake air from the back?...cause that's where the xps m1530 expels all the hot air from the fan..

so just wondering if it'd make much of a difference

I also just got a Notepal Infinite, I'm not really getting a temperature decrease.
GPU and CPU are almost the same. How do you position your laptop on the infinite? Mabye I got my M1530 standing a little high on it.
One exception is the hard drive, it usually was 35 light use and 45 or higher heavy use, now its mostly around 30.

The notepal infinite takes it air from the back yes, but is far enough from the exhaust to give any problem.

just what i was looking for. I'm going to purchase a notebook cooler tomorrow and there's only Coolermaster and few other local brands available at the store. No Zalman :( . But if Notepal is good then I might go for it. Keep us informed.

I made my trip to the comp store and there were 3 models of the Coolermaster series, V1, X1 and the Infinite. Infinite model costs twice as much as V1 and X1. Is it worth going for Infinite or will V1 or X1 do a good job of cooling my XPS 1530??

My local store only has the regular Notepal, the W1 Notepal and the Infinite.
All are the same price (€ 29).

I've been looking into the X1, its cheaper, places the laptop higher and has a bigger fan. The only problem is that the construction and placement of the fan is a bad match for the m1530 which has its air intake at the left top.

The regular Notepal and W1 block the front audio in/outputs and might also damage the front of the laptop so they were not an option for me.

I recommend the Infinite, and I'll post an overview of the temp decreases soon.
