It depends what you're going to do with it. I only had a choice between the t7250 and the t9300. Since the t7250 is barely faster than my current processor, it made sense to upgrade plus i'll be doing some video editing etc. which requires a good processor.

i was wondering.. i ordered the m1530 a while ago for a lot more and it has not shipped yet.. could i cancel my order and reorder this? would i have to call them about canceling my order or can i do it online i think its in the build stage right now

 

I think you have to call to cancel your order, but yes, you can do this. I think they can just refund you though, assuming both are from the same department (i.e. home and home office)

 

Up until it ships you can cancel any order. In fact dell is always trying to get you to cancel an order any time you want to make a change, so they should be more than happy to cancel it for you.

 

I think it's more of a threat tactic to get you to stop asking for stuff. If you speak to the right person, more often than not, they don't want you to cancel unless they know you'll be re-ordering.

 

Agreed. The operative phrase being "the right person" which in my case took anywhere from 3-5 calls. Although in the end I am a happy customer. it just take a little patience and perseverance.

Same question. My EPP is with my school. Don't think there will be a better time to get an XPS then now in Canada with these specs.

At a certain point you just have to find an offer you are ok with and pull the trigger. I think even at full price this system is worth it.

 

I think this is a great deal for Canadians. Ofcourse it's nothing like the 25% coupon Americans get but it still does the job. Like whamerman says, if you see an offer you like, pull the trigger and don't look back. I'm placing my order right now and I feel very satisfied with the offer that was presented to me. I think $411 savings in Canada is quite a bit. I'm not sure what kinds of deals your EPP gets but imo I would jump on it.

The moron customer service rep I talked to had absolutely NO idea what I was referring to, even though I only called literally half an hour after the sale ended. He kept thinking I was referring to the regular xps m1530, then he get very rude and actually hung up on me.....very professional

I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. I've been keeping up with these things for the last few months but this was the first time they had a deal like that. I doubt there will be a similar deal before like Christmas time.
