so i finally was able to order my first laptop yesterday

i came to the decision on the m1730 mainly because i really dont plan on doing to much with the "future" games, i play mostly half life mods, and some off games other then that.

so the specs on it are

    Bone White
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7700 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 4MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
    120GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
NVIDIA®SLI™Dual GeForce®8700MGT with 512MB GDDR3 Memory (only option so of course that as most of you current owners know)

and everything else is pretty much the basics on it. anywho, i was told its shipping dec27th, not here for xmas but here soon enough.

i just wanted to ask if theres any recomendations on when i get it being it is my first such as how to clean, where to find the best drivers for it and such. if you could help it would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't know much about cleaning, but you might actually get it before Christmas. I ordered a M1530 and the ESD was 12/27 and it shipped 12/14. I was suppose to get it 12/31-1/02/08 but now it is suppose to be here on Wednesday(12/19/07)

I tend to do a clean reinstall of the OS, only way to ensure its clean from all the stuff Dell needlessly puts on ;)
