    just received xps 1530 what to do?

    i just received my xps 1530 today
    are there things i should do to extend its life or battery.

    for instance charging it up to full
    then using it until no battery or something since its goin to be my 1st use?

    or any other tips or bios changes i should do cuz im gonna do a clean install of windows vist 64 bit.

    just be sure to grab the latest bios and drivers from the 64-bit thread and stick them temporarily on a flash drive or other external storage.

    The Li-ion battery doesn't need the 'breaking in'.. so just start using it (and most of the time the battery comes charged).. but u can just start it up with AC plugged in and start using the system..

    Nothing to change... u must be having the latest BIOS most probably..

    As for doing a clean install of 64bit, check out some other threads on tips, suggestions about how to go with the install.. good luck.
