keyboard cover?

anyone know of a keyboard cover they make for the studio xps 13? I find that I tend to wear down my keys (I already put a strip of tape over my space bar cuz that's where most of the wear is).

I just had a nice *chat* with a Dell Rep, (yes..nice) and the Rep confirmed that this Laptop Keyboard Cover for the Dell XPS M1330 will work for the SXPS 13

This is what I did in the chat:

And, asked if it would work and for a confirmation... Then, I kept a copy of the conversation and pasted it into a word doc' at the end, and had them e-mail it to me also So, I had it all covered!

Do what I did above..Give them that information and ask them to confirm that it will work before you order. They will, try and get you to order before the convo' is over, BTW. I just asked them to email me the quote!

I'm not so sure the rep was right in that.. If you compare your keyboard to the keyboard of the XPS 1330 you'll notice a few differences, the enter key is smaller and the left shift key appears wider. It ought to fit, but I doubt it'd be 100% compatible.

 

Yes, that is why I asked several times for confirmation...so we shall see what feedback XScorpion gets when he chats with the Rep, I am curious. hmm.

I don't know if it would be a tight fit..or stretch w/such usage.

ok, I'm chatting with a rep right now...and he says he has a one made especially for the m1340, but he can only find it internally (no link?)

 

Oh really? What is his pricing? If your going to do so..have him send you the quote via e-mail so that you can review it, approve, and send back to him via e-mail.

At least that way, you can look at it in some sort of paper *form*

highway robbery I tell you. I haven't got it yet...wondering if its really worth it (cuz usually a whole new keyboard is around $30 anyway).

 

Tell him you will order it if he includes free shipping, and see what he says.

If he wants the sale that badly..he will give you free shipping.
