I have a 1330 with a T7100. I like not having to worry about being tether and would like to replace the CPU with a "medium voltage" p8400, but continually find conflicting information on its compatibility. The Px000 series has a TDP of 25W as opposed to the usual 35W. They are also socket P penryns. It really seems like the only difference is that these are undervolted Tx000s with a 1066 FSB. I've read that the pinout is actually different, even though the socket is the same and they have the same number of pins. I've also seen that they are incompatible with 965 chipsets and require the new GM45 chips, even thought it seems there are 965 laptops with these low voltage CPUs.

Can anyone confirm that these chips work with the m1330?

And along the line of extending battery life, does anyone know where you can get 9/6 cell extended capacity batteries for a good price? That is, batteries that have higher capacity than OEM packs?

From what I've read, even though it may fit the socket, it is not compatible with Santa Rosa platform.

(something to do with the FSB, and other things)
