    hi all
I've recently acquired an xps m1210, and until recently i have had no issues with it. When I got the laptop, (off a friend btw), i deleted all partitions of the hard drive as I was having trouble installing vista cleanly. This included the 'mediadirect' of the hard drive. I don't mind not having this program, however i've come accross a problem or error with the leds at the front of the screen. I accidentally pressed the media direct button to turn on the computer, and since then the power light hasn't turned on (the notebook's still working perfectly though) and the mediadirect symbol at the front of the keyboard has turned on instead. I've tried restarting and the like several times to no avail.

I know this is more of an annoyance than a problem, but i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem or has any light to shed on it (no pun intended).

    thanks

How about if you shut down the computer and power on with the power button?
