I use HDMI-HDMI all the time, allowing large resolution on my HD-tv (can't remember max.). So the DVI should work in same manner, without sound.

Yes that cable will work, but isn't 10feet bit too long for a monitor cable?. I'm using HDMI -> DVI cable to connect my iiyama Prolite 22” monitor @ 1680x1050. BTW I’m using this Monster 400 for HDMI to DVI cable.

You seriously paid $100 for a cable?

www.monoprice.com. Go there. Give me the $94 left over.

NOOO, I got it for around $25 from a store.. (thats just the official link). There were unbranded ones from $15 up (but I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the cable and connectors), so I paid $10 extra for the Monster Cable.

I'm using that to run off my Dell 22". I used cheap HDMI -> DVI adaptor cables. So far not noticed any quality issues. 1680 x 1050.
