    Hi guys,

I just noticed that my m1330 is rattling when I shake it. There are some rattling inside when I shake it up and down, and side to side.

Is this normal? I still have a couple of months for warranty to best buy. Should I be worried about this and send it for repairs?

Operating the laptop doesn't seem compromised.

Could be a screw or some broken plastic (if it's broken anywhere). You could try to find the source of the rattling piece if you feel like it. Or just have someone check it out for you.

    1. why are you shaking it?
    2. if it worries you send it in. use the warranty. but make sure they do not wipe your Hard Drive.ask to keep the hard drive if you send it in. lol i know a few people that have had the wipe out issue.

I'll make use of the warranty and let them open it and check it out. It may be a loose screw. When I got my mobo replaced, they noticed a screw stuck on the heat sink (had to replace the whole thing because of that), and a missing screw on one of the internal components (seems they forgot to put one there during assembly). Fun times.

Thanks guys for all your responses. And to answer Reaper's question, I was putting it in my bag when I noticed the rattle. And then I started shaking it to make further observations (I'm in Science, and that's how we are trained for research). :D :D

Yeah I would exercise the warranty as much as possible...might as well get your money's worth.

Yep, and its probably a broken piece of plastic. I heard rattling on my laptop before... I opened it up and a plastic piece fell out.
