Just received my m1330 but the cd drive would not let me insert any CDs!! Did I get a defective product? I pressed the eject button and then tried to insert the CD but nothing happens, it wouldn't let me push all the way in. It's strange too, I don't hear any noise from the optical drive. Did they forget to install it in the factory?

Does it make any kind of noise when you turn the computer on? If it does, that would be a good indicator that it's there and working. If it's not, then there's something not right with your drive, and I'd suggest calling XPS.

    it doesn't make any noise.

I tried pushing in the CD again but it didn't automatically draw in my disc. Now my CD is undetected and I'm not able to eject it or anything. It makes a low noise when I pressed eject but nothing happened after that.

did i forget to set up something?? now my cd is stuck there and i can't get it out.

Sounds like your drive is Fcuked! As was previously suggested, call XPS Support.
