Sorry for the terrible grammar in my title, but can someone with an m1330 and integrated (x3100) graphics tell me how long they can watch a dvd on their battery before the computer dies -- (preferably a 6cell but i guess i could just divide it out if you are using a 9 cell.)

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I have a Nvidia 8400M GS and I can watch a DVD for around 2:10 before it shuts down.I guess you should be able to get around 10~15 mins more

Watching a DVD is going to consume a much greater amount of power than on the HDD. Due to the DVD drive having to be constantly spinning and reading which consumes much more power than the HDD.

Best bet is to play DVD's with it plugged in ;)

Perhaps on an aeroplane etc you might wanna not have to plug it in, but you can get airline power adaptors for the laptop/

Blu Ray is much much worse. Though Montevina can play one without dying at the very end of it. Though I wouldnt get it just for that reason.

DVD viewing times will be lower because the optical drive eats up more power.
