    Hi Guys,

I've become a recent owner of the xps m1330 and was wondering if it was normal for the actual power cord to slide in and out of the m1330 with little resistance (ie the power cord can come out of the m1330 easily)

I ask this as my only other notebook was the toshiba m70-144 in which the power cord would "click" into place and feels a lot better in this respect. I am always worried that if i moved the m1330 the power cord will fall out and i will lose power.

I like the power adapters loose.. That way, there is lesser chance of the notebook falling if the power cable is snagged by something..

And pretty much all dells I have seen are this way.. nothing locks in place..

ok, cool. I was just asking in case it was a build flaw. But, yes the particular scenario you mentioned makes sense.

I have 2 of them and they both seem loose a bit.

Mine was really loose, it would actually fall out. I had to put something under it to keep it in place. I called Dell, they sent me a new charger and it was a lot better. It doesn't 'click' into place, but it is very snug.

mine is snug on my 1330. doesn't fall out by itself but goes in and out with little resistance
