I am not sure if it every worked before lol just notice it now ~_~ had laptop for almost a month now

does not seem to be worth calling dell or is it?

Mine doesn't light up either when connected wirelessly.

It lights up if you're in hibernation/sleep mode (not sure if it will work when off) and there is a wireless network available (not necessarily connected), and you flick the wifi catcher switch.

I havent payed attention to mine but i now noticed mine doesnt light up either !!!

    EDIT:
My bro told me to put my computer in standby (sleep) and to slide the wi-fi catcher button. It lights up on and off. Supposedly its there to detect wi-fi signals without turning on your computer

    Makes sense

Works in standby and off.. If it detects a signal, it lights up solid blue for about 5 seconds.. Otherwise it just blinks on and off till it's searching, and then turns off..
