I have 8gb RAM on my laptop and so far no problems installing all the programs and drivers. Win7 did detect the drivers needed and accurately targeted Dell's website for the appropriate drivers... card reader and such. Programs loaded so far:
Office 2007, Acrobat Reader 8, Adobe CS4 (both 32/64), Panorama Factory, Roxio Creator 2010 Pro, Slingbox, Quicktime. Will load more but it took me almost all day to do these ones. Future programs includes Canon's Zoom Browser and other web browsers.
Hardware: Sierra HSPDA WWAN card. Works well with t-mobile's SIM card and data plan. It can also recognize 3G! yay.
Win7 loads and shuts down faster than Vista. Still experimenting and will eventually learn all the features like I did with Vista. I have other laptops but will keep those loaded with Vista. My netbook is still XP but I'm serious considering upgrading it too but with the 32bit version.
Two thumbs up for W7![]()

Prior to the nVidia graphics driver update the score was 1.0 and afterwards it was 5.5 I have the 2.2ghz Merom with the m8600gt graphics card. I must admit it's an improvement from Vista but not THAT significant. I never had problems installing Vista Ultimate. I don't know if I'm short selling myself by not installing Win7 Ultimate. The price is what's keeping me from doing it.
