I am just wondering if it is normal for the adapter to get hot. I just noticed it today, when i picked it up and it was pretty hot to the touch. Not so much that it burns, but hotter than I ever remember my other laptop's adapter getting.

    Thank you

The power brick can get 'hot'. Granted my power brick is a 230w but there are times I will go to move it out of the way and it is very hot. I wouldn't worry about it. If you aren't seeing errors or other odd behavior then I wouldn't be concerned.

They run hot because of the amount of current going through them. It shouldn't be a problem, it is pretty normal, especially if you are using the laptop hard (gaming etc). They are always designed to be able to take more current than necesssary anyway. Thats why you should never use a PSU with lower power rating.
