I have an xps 1530 and a 4.1 speaker system that I use with my desktop. It has 2 plugs (green and black if it matters) for front and rear speakers, but when I plug both of them into the 1530 only the front speakers work. If i switch them only the rear speakers work. Is there a way to get them all to work?

Think you need an external sound card for that to work!

Go to Sigmatel Control Panel and change the speakers to 4.1.

I use my with Creative Inspiron 5.1 and works well!
