    m1530 won't boot, passed all diagnostics

    My 1530 won't boot up. I checked all of the components with a dell diagnostic boot and everything passed.

    The disk didn't come with the 1530, it was from another dell, would that make a difference? I assume that it would have ran into some error if that would have been the case...though I don't know too much about computers.

    software issue. reinstall windows.

    Does the Dell screen come when you boot and just hang there?
    if so...
    Did you try booting from a bootable cd/DVD?
