Hey guys,
I wondered how games would run on this laptop. I dont own any PC games to test, play 360.
So now I was thinking about buying Crysis, suppose to be the most impressive games of all times, visually anyway. My question is can my XPS handle it. Is there any point in getting it. Specs are below.
CORE 2 DUO 2.40GHz
320GB SATA (5400rpm)
Vista Home Premium (32Bit)
4gig ram
1440x900 res

I run it at medium settings and 1024x768(or 640). It runs at ~30 FPS most of the time. It doesn't look as good IMO as COD4 does because COD4 runs good at higher detail levels than Crysis does.

Yes, you can handle it.
Im sort of amazed that you managed to put in the size of your harddrive, yet didn't mention your GRAPHICS card, which is the single most important factor in determining whether or not a computer can run a game. However, theres a 90% chance you have the 8600M GT.
With an 8600M GT you'll be able to run it in 1280x800, DX9 (10 wont really be playable), and MEDIUM details at a solid 30 FPS, sometimes dipping to 20s.
If you have an 8400M GS you could run it, but it probably wont be worth it. -
