    !alienware VS xps!

i have been obsessed with the m1530 ever since it was announced
and i have decided to shell out approx 2500 on it
but the good news for me is that i just changed my mind
i might as well get alienware (dellienware)
since i'm a guy who likes to play all games maxxed out on all settings

i realized its either u wait for a nextgen midrange GPU to play a currentgen game maxxed out
    or
u buy a currentgen enthusiast GPU now for the same purpose

oh well i dont think i will survive waiting 6 - 12 months so the latter would be my choice

besides the xps is 6lbs heavy why the alienware is also only 7lbs heavy
i dont think 1 extra lbs will kill its portability

    i also realised my old 14" compaq v2000 is 5.5lbs 1.3" min/1.53" max H
(it still amazes me - that laptop looks and feels lighter than its specs)
(its interesting ive been lugging around 5.5lbs)

and guess what the m15x is only 1.3" H

bye bye to 8600M GT (all the time wasted tweaking, customising & playing with the settings)
8800M GTX here i come! (just pop in cd and run the freaking game at max - stop worrying about the settings)

Might want to wait for a review or two for the M15x.

the alienware sounds great and all (well internally...I think their styling is awful!).... but won't we be talking well over 1k for a decent build?

This is entirely supposal based on the curent uk range. I just checked out their current 15.4" and at its most basic it is the same price as the rig I've ordered from dell. This is without getting the processor up to speed and hell, as soon as I saw sticking the 7600 added a good 250 to the price.... well no need to go further there!

What are we figuring the AW is going to be pricewise in the uk?
