i turn it on, then it loads the bios, but then for some reason everytime it loads the bios it will then load mediadirect!!it has never done this before.it even does it in safe mode.

after 30 seconds of loading i then get a blue screen saying about a critical error, possibly caused by a driver.i can not also go back to a previous backup, again it loads media direct.

last week i started getting a problem whereby it says my charger needs to be 130w, so dell have promised to send me a new one, instead i got a card saying an engineer called whilst i was at work, so my battery is quite low now so i can not really keep trying as eventually it will run out

has anybody got any ideas what is causing this and how i might be able to overcome it.

    many thanks

    ben

There are alot of people having the same charger problem as you. It might help to search here and over at Dell community forum. I have read a few posts on this in the last week. But I would wait till you get your new charger first before making any changes.

You might try and boot up in safe mode - this will bypass any driver issues. If you can not get into safe mode, then it isn't a driver issue. I haven't read much about the power adapter issue, so I can not say for sure if that would have any effect on it.

Have you formatted recently or made any changes to your software?

no ive not done anything to it.the charger came today and that made no difference..safemode does not load, it just loads up the mediadirect then crashes..going to try to reinstall windows, but the recovery just made it crash too..i did all the diagnostics, no errors found

Can you try it again, and tell us what the blue screen of death says? We need something about the error in order to figure out what is going on.
