My xps m1730 has nvidia 8800M GTX SLI. I am running Windwos 7 64-bit. It only recognizes one of my graphics cards. How can I install the second one?

Update Bios? What kind of Card are you trying to install exactly? Or are you saying it's not recognizing SLI?

Does it show 2 cards in Device Manager but one has warning icon beside it? Your cards may be bad. Search the forum for more information on the M1730 8800GTX issues and replacemtn.

hey, I have same problem, but with other card, my 8700m's worked good, then boom on saturday I saw strange fps loss in WoW, I checked only today, and saw that there is no more SLI settings in Nvidia menu + device manager only shows 1 card and I think bios too... ?

edit: and now im sure that one of card are not found, even CPUID shows one core, no second, HALP plz!

same with me. it does not show up in device manager at all, not even with the warning icon beside it. cpuid also shows only one card too. my notebooks bios are up to date and they dont have 64-bit vbios so i dont know what to do about that.

Dell will sometimes allow you to renew your warranty if the costs of the parts are high. Can't hurt to call and tell them your tale of woe.

No no no no no no!

Get the warranty renewed... a day or two later phone up 'my graphics card has just died...'

The price of these cards is ridiculous, don't risk them turning down your warranty if you tell them its already broke.

From my experience they are sending out refurb cards again, as I've just had mine replaced.
