watching videos using VLC every so often when going full screen i get an "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered." error thingy.

pretty much that....I'm running is SLI, does that have anything to do with it? Also I'm going to try updating my graphics driver, but does anyone have a good driver cleaner recommendation?
Also when watching youtube videos in full screen mode I have to turn off enable hardware acceleration cause it wont play without it off when in full screen. What is with that?

Its your codecs or your drivers. Most likely your codecs though..
Try using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or Project CCCP
Use driversweeper in safe mode to clean out video drivers. -
ok sorry so what does K-Lite Mega Codec Pack actually do?

VLC player uses it’s own video codecs to decode video files, because of this, installing VLC will not add new codec support to Windows (other players).
m1730, can't play videos via full screen?
