I manage to get my hands of a CD wit mediadirect 3.3, I think, and I made some modifications because in that way it didn't work:
4.1. Copy all the CD content (folder and files) to your HDD Root (C:\ or D:\)
4.2. Idendify your SystemID by going to DELL Laptop BIOS System/System Info
You will see your system as MM061 for Inspiron E6400/1505, Inspiron 1420, MPX061 for XPS M1210, etc.
4.3. Change the name of following files and folder (my SystemID is "Inspiron 1420"):
+ Folder "XPS M1330" ==> "Your SystemID" (my case is "Inspiron 1420")
+ in the above folder, change file name "XPS M13301.exe" ==> "Inspiron 14201.exe", and "XPS M13302.exe" ==> "Inspiron 14202.exe"
+ Enter folder Lang and change all its language UI sub-folder as follows: "XPS M1330eng" ==> "Your SystemIDeng" and so on for frn, ger, etc. (my case is "Inspiron 1420eng")
+ Open file "Platform.ini" in folder DellKit, replace string "1 = XPS M1330" in section [SystemID] with "1 = Your SystemID" (my case is "1 = Inspiron 1420")
4.4. Run file DellKit.exe to install MD3 to your Hiden Partition and Windows System.

After modifying systemId with my model of xps m1530, the installation worked til 10%, and the I received an error 'can not find something' , I said ok, the it continued, I received a few more errors but it says finish installing.
After rebuting windows i get this error : NTLDR is missing, and I couldn't start my win.
I need mediadirect, how can I do it, ... :(

I manage to install media direct, with that method, just after modifications i burn on a butable cd.
    I just want to ask.
How I can see avi movies in media direct?
And when I exit media direct I shouldn't boot the os? Mine just stays on black screem.,and I have to shut down from the power button.
