heya, yesterday, i wanted to update my nvidia driver from 270.61 to 275.33.

however, i read it online and all of ppl mention using driver sweeper using GURU 3D. therefore i use such program.

    my steps was:

    1) uninstall my nvidia driver for the GT540M from the control panel -> Device Manager.

    2) restart my notebook in safe mode.. then utilise the driver sweeper by cleaning and ticking 3 letter box that has the word nvidia...

    3) after that restart again on normal mode... and this time use the Nvidia driver 275.33 to install..

    4) after that everything seems well enough.

my issues were, when i got back to the nvidia download driver website and tries to automatically scan my driver... i was unable to scan, and the screen was only showing scanning system in progress for nearly 3 hours.

after that i notice that when i was playing World of Warcraft, sometimes the screen would just freeze and there's a buzzing sound with no error message at all... Is it because my notebook are using the Intel HD Graphic and not the GT540M??? i have already set it on my nvidia control panel, to use high-performance nvidia processor but still this problem occur

how to know if i have already properly install the nvidia driver?? below is the system information from my notebook

Use system restore, you really do not need to use crap live driver sweeper for drivers.

This. You know what card you have, download the driver for it direct. Those online scanners often do more harm than good, even the official manufacturer ones. Flash/Java issues I suspect.

Well, the Nvidia Driver installer has option for a clean install route, which I trustfully rely more than the Driver Sweeper route.

To verify that you correctly installed it can be only determined by you. It is only correctly installed if you determined it is stable enough and works well for what you do.

thank you very much for the feedback and the suggestion!!! Very much appreciate it!!! :D :D

    also, in the nvidia control panel;

    System video memory: 0 MB

is my system video memory suppose to be 0 mb?? im just curious, do you guys also have the same result in your system information of the nvidia control panel

the reason why i was talking about nvidia are unable to scan my driver automatically, because, before i uninstall the driver, i was able to scan my driver without any problem.. :)

also, does my way of uninstalling the nvidia driver correct? which is from the device manager.

thats the thing, i really don't know if im using the Intel Graphic or Nvidia GT540M when gaming in World of Warcraft :(

sorry to trouble you guys with my question :( but any help would be much appreciated!!!

Just download it manually instead ... Just make sure you select clean install option as you install.
    -------
To tell which card is running on a certain app ... open up nvidia control panel, view, show GPU activity.

Here's a tutorial video to help understanding using it.

It's on all updated nvidia control panel with drivers later than 260, and has optimus enabled.
