I was playing a game of Diablo 3 and I realized that my laptop was getting hot. I have my laptop cooler (because Dell laptops get unGodly hot) plugged into my rear USB port and my mouse plugged into my side port.
Well, my port stopped working sometime while playing Diablo 3. I tried plugging other things into the port and nothing works. I don't even get a message, sound, or anything. My side port seems to work fine, though.
As I said, the USB port was working fine earlier and it randomly just stopped working.
I tried restarting and restoring to an earlier point. I also went through the device manager and set all the power options on the usb roots so they couldn't turn them off due to power.
I don't know what else to do, and I find it odd that my port would just stop working like it did.
Help is appreciated.

probably the heat from the CPU area heated some solder joints and messed up your USB 3.0 daughterboard. Call dell for service?

Hi imthedan,
This issue can be due to a faulty driver or a possible hardware failure. In order to help you better would you please share your computer system model number. Please do not put your computer service tag, just the system model number.
