    my keyboard doesnt work

    i have xps 1640 with win7 64bit.My keyboard started not to work completely.I used recovery CD and system restore but they didnt help.
    I can use touchpad but cant write anything.Backlit works btw
    Please help.

    i opened the base of laptop and close it after 10 seconds then the problem solved :) Don't ask cuz i don't know how

    It's a known issue. I had to have mine replaced. It would sometimes work when the lid was positioned at a certain angle, or opened/closed a few times. I got it replaced eventually.

    I hope your problem isn't as serious as mine.
