i've just bought a xps 1530. i just installed a program called alcohol 120 which makes a virtual drive.after installing that, windows vista restart my computer when i try to enter the windows vista.i mean whenever i log on after 1 minute my computer is restarted.I'm positive that my computer is not affected.
by the way i can't resolve the problem through safe mode, because it doesn't work.
(there is a funny thing that this program (alcohol 120 ) works well in windows xp but in vista has caused this problem!!!)
    plz help me
    thanks alot in advance

I doubt that Alcohol 120 is causing the problem but you can pop in your recovery CD and do a system restore to before it was installed.

Bauer418 is right, you should do a system restore first.
If worse comes to worst you can reformat.

AKA the most worthless feature ever put into windows. I don't think that has ever solved a problem.

instead of doing a restore, reformat your drive and do a clean install

i guess there is nothing wrong with ram, as i said i think alcohol 120 caused this problem because i never connected to internet or ran an affected program since i bought the laptop

Just do a system restore just like the other guys have said since you just had your laptop and there may not have critical files stored in it. Doing a system restore will bring your laptop back to factory condition. Same state as when it had just been delivered to you. if you have some critical files in it then i would recommend downloading bootable linux distro browse for your file and save it to an external or optical drive.
