i just purchased a refurbished xps m1530 and received it yesterday. and when i use the laptop, i keep hearing noises from it. it sounds like a disk spinning (maybe the hdd?). i think i can live with it, but the noise is pretty constant and kind of annoys and worries. im worried theres something wrong with the laptop and i might have to send it back. i dont want to go through the troubles of sending it back. would it bein a refurbished having something to do with it? and i think the noise is coming from the top left side of the laptop.

    Was it from Dell?
Even if its refurbished, Dell should ensure its in as new condition. I know you dont want to go through the hassle, but you paid for this laptop - you shouldnt be expected to put up with it. Give Dell as ring (if thats where you got it from) and they may just come and replace the part.....
