need advise,can't find webcam in hareware list on 1340

I got my studio 1340 five days ago, and haven't check it before I format the old system,(home premium)so,after I installed vista ultimate I got two problem now.

first, the wifi switch only can turn on the lights of bluetooth,never turn on the wifi light,but wifi looks perfect when I online by my router.

under vista ultimate 64 or vista ultimate 32, I add driver as dell said: chip vedio, erthnet wireless bluetooth, sound etc...

the second: yesterday when I online and talked to my friend by im and use webcam. the webcam sunddly freezed,and when I reboot my computer, I can't find hareware anymore.

after three times clearn reinstalled vista ultimate 64 and 32bit. both of them can not find webcam in hareware list, so I can't install driver for it.

after update windows in those two condition, still can not find webcam and install driver.

I am wondering is it the webcam damaged or not?

today is sunday, so I can not contact dell surpport, so anyone can give me some advise?

Sounds like the camera has gone faulty.

You need to speak to Dell.

 

after I update my vista few minutes ago, sunddly the webcam list on my hardware list, and when I rebbot the computer, windows give me a blue screen, said some hardware driver wrong, it looks like he said the webcam had a bad driver.(but I download it from dell official site).

after I reboot it again , webcam disapear again.

so ,I download the webcam driver again, but can't installed it for there is no hardware on my list.


another problem is the wifi swicth still can not turn on wifi light, although the wifi can work properly.
