not sure where to post this, but i have a dell XPS 15 L502x, and i reinstalled windows, but i dont have the utilities and drivers CD anymore(didnt realize this until after i reinstalled). anyways i got my laptop back to the way it should be with the exception of one key element. i cannot access the internet wirelessly. so the main point i have came to was that the utilities it gives me on the dell website are for the 64bit OS, and the one that i have downloaded is 32bit. and now i cant find a Network controller Driver that will work for my laptop.

i tried to update from the device manager screen but then it says it cant find the right driver. so any help you can give would be appreciated, and any more info you guys need i will try to give, but if anyone has an ISO or a link to an ISO that i can use for any missing drivers or utilities, that would be prefered.

What wireless card does your laptop have? If it's Intel you can get drivers from their website.

The drivers are right on Dell's website: Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] No disk required.

This should be the one you need, just double-check that the wireless card you have is in the list of devices the driver applies to (it's listed on that link under the drop down "Applies to").

The only selection for OS you can make to download there is Windows 7 x64...

well one of the things im not too sure about how to do, is how to find out what wireless card i have

"the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
and this was the message i got when i tried installing the driver for the wireless card that you provided madmattd

Unless you ordered special, you probably have the Intel 1000 card, which that driver supports. It also supports the 6230 so you ought to be covered. Which one you have will be on your order slip from Dell. Double-check just in case, if you have the 6300 or some other weird card the driver linked won't work.

First, which version of Windows did you install (32 or 64)? Your post isn't too clear, but I think you were saying 64-bit? If you installed 32-bit, that driver won't work.

Second, did you uninstall any old wireless card drivers you installed prior to trying the one at that link? You should also run driver sweeper or similar to get EVERY bit out before installing again.
