    just received my XPS 1530....

Does Dell have a QC problem?

    2 issues:

    1. the cd tray does not eject either from the media bar or the eject icon in explorer. so the cd drive is not connected

    2. The finger print reader was working at one time but now it does not at all.

    this is quite pathetic...

never mind...it has been a long night...I had to insert a cd in the tray before you can eject anything...

but the finger print reader is very very picky......

is there a new driver for this on dell's website?

If you want to put a disc in, you have to push the button first, I believe. I don't know if you can just cram a disc in there. And yeah..haha, what "were" you trying to eject from the inside?
