    Please help!!!!

I have since 3 months a brand new Dell XPS 1730 with 4Gbram, 2 hard disk 250Gb, 2geforce 8800SLI , screen 1920*1080, Bly ray writer and so on (OS vista business). You have to know that I am a photo and HD Video freak.
Let me tell you my experience with this computer and the Dell service.
After installing all my special software without any problems I started to try out the possibilities.
After 10 minutes I got my first blue screen being on internet.
2 days later again blue screen.
1 week later I restarted the computer unintentionally with media direct. The computer started up and was blocked. I could not do anything even quitting. I had to do a cold restart by switching of the power. I tried to restart under Vista. No way. The computer restarted always under Media direct Resulting In my first contact with Dell service. For them it was really simple. I had to reinstall the O.S. and consequently my software.
I have to tell you that I wasn’t very happy! But there was no choice. The technician also told me I was working with the wrong drivers for the Nvidia cards and the Dell wireless card. This was the reason of the blue screen.
So be it I redid everything after they downloaded me the up to date drivers.
After a few days I had to go for 8 weeks to France.
Contacting service for the guaranty and problems in France they told me that although a so called international guarantee I had to start a complicated procedure to transfer the guarantee from Belgium into France. So no service in France.
In France the problem with blue screen restarted furthermore it was impossible to update into SP1 dixit info from Microsoft. Microsoft stated that I had to contact the OEM manufacturer (Dell). I started to e-mail Dell service in Belgium.
    NO ANSWER
I asked sales to intervene and help me. The answer was dead simple “Please contact the technical service”.
I downloaded manually SP1 and installed the software manually. Although The SP1 was installed correctly Vista update still mentioned “SP1 not installed”. Due to the Dell changes in the software (dixit MS).
2 Weeks later I had to use the microphone to comment a video. To my surprise (sic) mice was not working. Of course again no answer from Dell to the e-mails.

Back in Belgium I started to phone Dell technical service.
“I AM SORRY YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL THE O.S.”
Once again I had not installed the adequate drivers for the Dell hardware.
You can imagine how happy I was with my computer (2300€)
1 week ago at least I had a good technician who installed himself all the necessary drivers once I installed the O.S. The mic is working.
There is still a problem with the Wireless card (Dell) resulting in 2 blue screens. Connected with cable no problem up to now. Of course Dell will have to solve the problem but at least I can work.
Next problem with dell: I want to buy a component video adaptor to connect the computer to an audio SPDIF device. This adaptor is specifically mentioned in the manual.
Taking contact with Dell: “Sir we do not sell cables separately. We are selling computers and not cables. You will have to look yourself in private for the adapter”

I found out that the adapter is available within Dell USA.
“Sir We are in the Netherlands and it is not our job to ask Dell USA. Feel Free to have it shipped your stupid adapter from the USA”
    The adaptor cost 11 $ shipping 45$ + taxes.

So even with this simple adaptor no help from Dell.

Conclusion Buy a simple Dell avoiding service. For all other application DO NOT BUY DELL

If there is anybody or a organization who can help me please advice

I understand every single one of your problems, coming from a support nightmare with my m1330 (not quite €2000+, but still 1200).

After 6 months of complaints and two replacement motherboards, I finally got a replacement, brand new... with the same exact problem! (overheating GPU)
I tried one last time and followed all their escalation procedures, but up to now, I haven't heard from them in a month. My advice? Don't buy Dell, there's many other (lesser-known) brands out there that have excellent (reseller) support. My next lappie is either a rebranded Clevo or a Zepto.

PS: about the component adapter, one word: eBay. It's the perfect place to buy "stupid" stuff like adapters and the like. Or stop by MediaMarkt (Belgium, right?) or Saturn, they have loads of em too!
