Ive got a notebook cooler which is kinda broken right now. It works if i dont move the USB wire, and if i do, it stops working till i find just the right angle again. But to the point, I am not sure how much the notebook cooler actually helps the xps 1330? I am seeing the same temps (on the GPU) with or without the cooler. I do not know how well it works under load since i havent had an opportunity to test that.

Does anyone know if a notebook cooler would bring down my temps by a lot? Any 1330 users want to recommend one if that is the case?

you can use search function for this question, there's a lot of guys mentioned about cooler NC1000 for XPS 1330. I owned one too, very happy about it. Temperature is stable about 58 - 62 when using NC 1000 and 68- 72 without it, replaced mobo once.

hi, my question is, is it smart to use cooler pads with m1330? because the internal cooler in m1330 sucking air not blowing it out at the bottom... so if the cooling pad sucking air and internal cooler sucks air too so its kinda mess, dont know what effect it makes actually... or am i wrong?

I have the Zalman NC1000 and bought it based on the good reviews here. I have owned it for a few months and it's pretty neat, give it a try!

PS. It won't bring that temps down a lot though, but it will control them. To really lower your temps I do recommend the copper mod.

Does that make the machine less efficient or less...pardon the pun...powerful? I've seen that around, but I wasn't aware that undervolting was something that could be done, let alone commonly suggested.

Very efficient, especially when U have no other real sollutions.
I managed to undervolt it (T5750) to [email protected] and the temperature never rises above 65C. No lose of performance, just read the above thread. Good luck
